JENNER 20 | FLAIR LIVING
Demolition and reconstruction of a residential building in Milano
The new residential building at Viale Jenner 20 takes shape from the demolition and reconstruction of the existing property, with a complete redesign of the façades, building massing and external areas. The complex extends over six above-ground floors and three basement levels: the third basement is dedicated to technical rooms; the first and second basement levels accommodate technical areas, storage rooms and parking facilities; the ground floor includes shared residential amenities, a gym, commercial space, technical rooms and one apartment, while the first to sixth floors are entirely dedicated to residential use.
The building services strategy was developed to support the different functions of the building through centralized, high-efficiency systems for ventilation, heating, cooling and domestic hot water production. Thermal energy is generated by a polyvalent heat pump and a reversible air-cooled heat pump, complemented by two high-temperature booster heat pumps for domestic hot water. Insulated distribution networks run through dedicated technical shafts to individual metering modules serving each residential unit, while the shared areas, gym and commercial spaces at ground-floor level are conditioned by hydronic fan coils. A rooftop photovoltaic system completes the energy strategy, contributing to the production of energy from renewable sources.
