The project is aimed at the recovery and reuse of a historic building, protected by the Superintendency, to accommodate a Five-Star Luxury Design Hotel, with approximately 120 rooms, as well as a SPA, gym, restaurant and Back of House. The existing building, which took on its current appearance in the nineteenth century, arises from the recasting of two older buildings. Used in the twentieth century as a school and, in recent years, as a venue for municipal offices, it has been subject to significant changes over time and has lost much of the original interior finishes. The purpose of the project is therefore the careful recovery of the spaces and the enhancement of the original architectural elements, in particular with the restoration of the facades and the magnificent courtyard, with its triple columned order. The importance of the intervention is given by the presence of elements that require state-of-the-art technical and technological solutions, in order to comply with the regulations in force (regarding energy, thermal and acoustic comfort, as well as seismic and fire safety) and to achieve the high international standard required for the accommodation, while safeguarding the historical value of the complex.
