The project involves the renovation of a building located in one of the most prestigious and central areas of the historic center of Rome, for the construction of the new W Hotel, from the  Starwood H&R Collection. The building, already used as a hotel in the past, occupies a corner lot, along Via San Basilio, and consists of seven floors above ground and two underground; the aboveground volumes are arranged in a horseshoe-shape around a courtyard, which will be covered in order to realize the new reception area on the ground floor. The new functional program will include the opening of two restaurants (one exclusively for hotel guests, the other open to the public) and an area Gym-Spa, located on the first basement floor. At the top floor, the indoor pool complements this system of entertainment and relaxation areas, which constitute one of the key elements of the new concept.
