LINATE AIRPORT
Renovation and expansion of the Terminal in Milan
The overall project aims to deliver a completely renovated City Airport to Milan by 2020.
Milan Linate is the second international airport of Milan. It serves almost ten million passengers and is one of the most important hubs in Italy. The intervention is therefore part of the renewal program, functional redevelopment and expansion of the airport Passenger Terminal.
In collaboration with the SEA technical staff, TEKNE has completed the technical-economic feasibility study for the extension and design of the restyling of the existing passenger station. In particular, the arrivals and baggage claim area and the landside front were renovated, with a specific project for the façade (entrusted to Studio Cerri e Associati) and external arrangements.
In addition to the airport restyling project, the engineering services focused on safety levels to be coordinated and integrated according to international standards and codes. Furthermore, during construction work, the airport has always been fully operational and therefore the design of safety standard levels have been coordinated and integrated during the continuous use of the airport.
For this reason Tekne has provided a technical staff allocated directly on site with the aim of ensuring the best results and the highest level of control.
