SOCIAL HOUSING PROJECT

Redevelopment of the area of the S. Bartolomeo Hospital

The area occupied by some abandoned buildings of the former S. Bartolomeo hospital, will be characterized by a demo-reconstruction intervention to establish two buildings of Social Housing, including the recovery of a third historical body as a place of socialization.

The design of the electrical and air conditioning systems the building object of intervention is differentiated for each real estate unit (North building and South building).
The air conditioning is provided with air heat pumps, radiant floors, individual air treatment units per apartment, preparation for summer cooling.
On the best exposed roofs (North building) photovoltaic panels will be installed for over 250 square meters.

The structures will be in reinforced concrete cast in place with concrete slabs. Particular aspect will be the recovery of the historical building arm that has been the subject of heavy elevations and tiling of new structures in the years 60-70 and now unusable.

The project will need a decision on which administrative procedure to choose: complete or partial demolition and reconstruction.
