Research center and automated wharehouse in Fontaneto

The project involves the enlargement of the factory designed by Tekne in 1973 and in particular:

• a new building destined to “research centre” composed of two above ground levels and one level underground. (each level is of about 1000 m2)
  The underground level is devoted to parking, thermal power plants and depots.
  Ground floor is entirely devoted to materials test laboratories and connected operatives areas.  The first floor , at present  shell and core, will house additional laboratories.  The roof will be equipped with photovoltaic and solar panels.
• a new completely automated warehouse for the storage of pallets and boxes. It will have an overall length of 96,5 m and a double height one of 34 m and the other of 22 m. The warehouse will have a reinforced concrete foundation raft and a bearing structure  of  grid frames composed of  pillars, joints and braces bond to the reinforced concrete basement. The vertical closing system will be realized by means of precast insulated plate panels produced with uninterrupted production line.
• a roof with bearing structure in  steel structural work composed of a circular section pillars, a main and secondary grid beam system, a under grid covering level in insulate metal plates similar to the existing covering.
