The works include the construction of a large treatment and services area on three levels and two wings for medical and surgical wards (total surface 81.000 m2 - about 735 beds).
Very important is the dimension of the operating department, with 20 operating rooms and the imaging department.
Other departments are:

- Laboratory of chemical-clinical analysis and microbiology;
- Emergency operating block and diagnostics;
- Dialysis (40 beds);
- Intensive Care Unit (52 beds);
- Outpatients department (100);
- Day-hospital.
